Before you connect
You need the address of a working Jellyfin server and an account on that server. If you are away from home, the server must be configured securely for remote access by its administrator.
Add the server
- Open Kymelo settings and choose Jellyfin.
- Enter the full server address, including https:// where available.
- Sign in with the Jellyfin credentials issued by that server.
- Select the libraries you want to browse.
What is shared
Kymelo sends requests, credentials or access tokens, playback position and related commands to the Jellyfin server you configure. The server operator can log this activity. Kymelo does not operate your Jellyfin server and cannot change its retention or security settings.
Connection problems
Check the address in a browser on the same device, confirm the account works, and verify that a firewall or VPN is not blocking access. Certificate warnings should be fixed on the server rather than ignored.
