Prepare both devices
Connect the Kymelo device and receiver to the same local network. Ensure network discovery is allowed and disable guest-network isolation if you administer the router.
Start casting
- Open the media item and select the cast control.
- Choose a discovered receiver.
- Wait for the connection before seeking or changing tracks.
- Use Disconnect to return control to the local player.
Compatibility
Casting depends on the receiver, media format, codecs and source. A file that plays locally may need a different format or server-side transcoding before a receiver can play it.
If no device appears
Confirm both devices are online, restart discovery, and check VPN, firewall and router isolation settings. Some enterprise and hotel networks block discovery by design.
Privacy
Discovery sends local-network messages and the selected receiver learns information needed to play the media. Review the receiver manufacturer’s privacy policy for its own practices.
